From 20 – 21 January 2016 NETfficient held its 2nd partner meeting at Schneider Electric in Wiehl (Germany).
After a period of six months the project partners met again for further collaborative planning and tackling of the next steps necessary for the implementation and pilot demonstration of smart energy storage and sustainable energy management systems in the Borkum electric grid.
Therefore, a special emphasis was given to the synchronization of the system components to be implemented in the context of the various use cases. A relevant number of private households have already expressed their interest in project participation as pilot “prosumers”.
Also in January 2016 the NETfficient advisory board was established to offer advice and feedback to the understanding of market and industry requirements from the perspective of potential future adopters. This is important especially in the context of the identification of valid business opportunities.Current members of the advisory board are the City of Cagliari, Nissan Europe and Viesgo.
The next project meeting will take place in June 2016 in Cagliari.
